Note that Chocolat Pailhasson is the oldest chocolate house in France and was founded in 1729 in Lourdes. It was the favorite chocolate of Empress Eugenie and Pope Leo XIII If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned an example of this poster once before! Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few light, mostly partial horizontal creases scattered in various areas, but there are creases in the title area at upper left and there is an approximately 2 1/2" v-shaped tear in the center of the word "Chocolat" at upper left (see our image). There are small tears and areas of paper loss in portions of the blank borders. Overall, especially given the size and age of the poster, it is in pretty nice condition and after a simple linenbacking the poster would look great! Learn More about condition grades
