The Barretts of Wimpole Street, the 1934 Sidney Franklin author poetry family relationship romantic melodrama (a fictionalized re-telling of the classic romance between famed poets Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Robert Browning; from the stage play by Rudolf Besier; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Norma Shearer (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Elizabeth Barrett Browning), Fredric March (as Robert Browning), Charles Laughton (as Edward Moulton-Barrett, Elizabeth Barrett Browning's father), Maureen O'Sullivan, Katharine Alexander, Ralph Forbes, Ian Wolfe, and Una O'Connor

Condition: very good. printing on one side of the herald slightly bleeds through to the other side (with some faint bleeding through in the stars' images); 1/2" tear in the right edge of the herald; some minor creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the herald (more so around the edges)
