Original Vintage Candid Theatrical Our Gang 5x7 Still (Learn More)

Scotty Beckett was a child star who appeared in 15 "Our Gang" shorts in the mid-1930s, and he had much success as a child and juvenile over the next decade, perhaps having his greatest success playing the young Al Jolson in The Jolson Story in 1946. He seemed prepared to make the transition from juvenile actor to young adult, appearing with many of the top younger stars of that time, including Elizabeth Taylor, but he started a rapid descent into problems with drugs, alcohol, and violence, and although he lived another 20 years, passing away in 1968 at the age of 38. His final years were marked with one awful event after another, and he is surely one of the saddest Hollywood stories of a child actor gone wrong.
Important Added Info: Note that there is a paper snipe attached to the back of the still explaining the scene! If there is glare on the image below it is from the flash of the camera, and is NOT on the actual still!
Please note that these stills came from an extraordinary collection of original Our Gang (The Little Rascals) stills from Our Gang films of the 1920s and 1930s!  All of them are original and in excellent condition unless I've noted otherwise above.  Original Our Gang stills are extremely rare and we have auctioned ones in the past for over $200 for a single still!
All of these are guaranteed authentic!  There are stills from their best films (including the most recognizable members of the gang like Spanky, Alfalfa, and Buckwheat), and there are stills showing them playing golf, baseball, or having one of their boxing matches, and also candid stills that show the kids with the director!
I will be auctioning five of these each week.  Although the opening bid is only $9.99 per still, there are some really great ones, and many of these will sell for much, much more!  I'm certain that the high bidders will all be happy with the stills they win, but please remember that I've always offered a full refund, no questions asked return policy as noted at right!
Be sure to check out the other fine stills from this collection that eMoviePoster is selling this week!

Condition: fine.
