An Original Vintage Linenbacked Advertising Poster (measures 10" x 13 1/2" [25 x 34 cm]) (Learn More)

Prep Crema Medicata, the circa 1950s Italian advertisement for pre-shave medicated cream featuring art of a mermaid embracing the product by E. Ferrante. It seems possible this was removed from a magazine, but we really don't know. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few faint water stains in the bottom. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and any restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
