An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 26 1/4" x 39 3/4" [67 x 101 cm]) (Learn More)

The Hot Scots, the 1948 Edward Bernds England Scotland Yard slapstick comedy short ("Hoot mon! ...and hoot loud at the Stooges' maddest funfest!"; "Pipe the Stooges as Scotsmen! ...it's a crazy-kilt of howls!"; "A Columbia Short-Subject Presentation"; the Stooges apply for jobs as "Yard Men" at Scotland Yard, not realizing they will not be detectives, but gardeners) starring The Three Stooges (Shemp Howard, Larry Fine, Moe Howard), Herbert Evans, Christine McIntyre, Charles Knight, and Theodore Lorch (billed as "Ted Lorch"). Not only was this short re-edited and re-worked into the 1954 short "Scotched in Scotland", but it was also remade the following year as "Hot Ice".

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Parts of the blank borders were trimmed off, but it did not affect any of the writing or numbers in the bottom border. There was paper loss at the top crossfold and minor wear on the folds. There were pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer did not replace the missing blank paper in the blank borders (see our image).
