A 1961 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Irving Berlin's White Christmas, the classic 1954 Michael Curtiz post-World War II sisters holiday singing-and-dancing romantic musical (with classic "Lyrics and music by Irving Berlin"; "The most fabulous music-and-mirth show in motion picture history!"; "Joyous entertainment for every season, any year!!!!") starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen, and Dean Jagger. Note that this was the first motion picture to be filmed in VistaVision! Also note that the title song "White Christmas" was first introduced in 1942 in the Fred Astaire/Bing Crosby movie "Holiday Inn", and it proved to be so popular that this movie was made, utilizing part of the plot of that earlier film, and reusing this song, which was now over a decade old, but it proved to be an even greater hit!

Condition: good to very good. The poster had smudges, tears, and areas of paper loss near the middle of the middle and bottom horizontal foldlines. There were some pinholes, creases, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. It did not have the best of restoration, and if I owned the poster, I would have a talented restorer perform additional touch up to the foldlines. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster.
