An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Nightmare Alley, the classic 1947 Edmund Goulding carnival sideshow romantic love triangle crime film noir melodrama ("20th Century Fox triumph!"; "Based on the novel by William Lindsay Gresham"; about a carnival barker at a circus who makes significant mistakes in his life, and is ultimately reduced to being the "sideshow geek" in a truly nightmarish movie) starring Tyrone Power Jr., Joan Blondell, Coleen Gray, Helen Walker, Taylor Holmes, Mike Mazurki, Ian Keith, Gene Roth, Taylor Holmes, and Julia Dean. Note that this movie was remade in 2021 by Guillermo del Toro, starring Bradley Cooper and Cate Blanchett. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the playdates section at the bottom of the glass.
