An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French One-Panel Movie Poster (measures approximately 47" x 63") (Learn More) the theatrical release of The Avengers, a circa late 1960s (possibly 1966 in the U.S.) feature film edited from episodes of the classic TV show, "The Avengers", the 1961-1969 Sydney Newman English spy espionage mystery comedy crime thriller starring Patrick Macnee (as John Wickham Gascone Berresford Steed), Diana Rigg (as Emma Peel), Honor Blackman, Ingrid Hafner, Ian Hendry, and Julie Stevens. Note that this TV show was apparently as big a hit in France as it was in England, and special French language versions of all the episodes were created, but apparently, only a few of them still survive.
