An Original Vintage Folded World War I Poster (measures 13 3/4" x 21" [35 x 53 cm]) (Learn More)

Your Chance!, the 1910s U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front recruitment poster ("Make a 2 year cruise on the U.S.S. North Dakota [crack ship of fleet] Enlist now!"; "Recruiting station 51 Cornhill Boston, Mass.") encouraging citizens to enlist in the Navy. Note that the USS North Dakota was a dreadnought battleship of the United States Navy which was commissioned in 1910. The ship had a peaceful career and during World War I, she remained in the U.S., training crewmen for the rapidly expanding wartime Navy. She remained on active duty through the early 1920s, until she was decommissioned and converted into a radio-controlled target ship. In 1931, she was sold for scrap and dismantled.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has small paper loss at upper right and a small tear lower left that has been repaired with tape from the back.
