Andy Clyde was a Scottish supporting actor from 1921 through the 1960s. He had a long successful career in comedy shorts, and then he became Hopalong Cassidy's sidekick, California Carlson, and he appeared in 36 of the 66 Hopalong Cassidy movies. He passed away in 1967 at the age of 75.

Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Andy Clyde (the signature was on the back of a postcard, and the entire postcard is still present, having been attached to the back of the mat)! It was matted together with a nice 8" x 10" REPRO of the actor. Note that the item comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from Ernest Mitchell.
