An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More)

Bowery Battalion, the 1951 William Beaudine Army juvenile delinquent military comedy starring The Bowery Boys (billed as "Leo Gorcey and The Bowery Boys"; including Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall), Virginia Hewitt, Donald MacBride, Bernard Gorcey, Al Eben, Frank Jenks, and William Bailey. Note that Bernard Gorcey was star Leo Gorcey's father, and he played Louie, the owner of the Sweet Shop, where the boys frequently hung out, and Louie was often involved in slapstick gags, and many times Leo Gorcey would be tormenting or slapping his own father!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good. The poster had creases along the foldlines and many tears around the edges of the poster. There was a 4" tear that went through the girl's hair and into the background beyond it. There were some scuffs throughout the image. There was writing on the back of the center of the poster that bleeds through to the front in the "TAL" of "BATTALION". Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the restoration of the above defects (and the bleed through in the title was not addressed).
