Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41"; signed by Elizabeth Taylor) (Learn More) Suddenly, Last Summer, the 1960 Joseph L. Mankiewicz ("...the director") romantic melodrama ("These are powers and passions without precedent in motion pictures!"; "...suddenly last summer Cathy knew she was being used for something evil!"; "based on the play by Tennessee Williams '...the author'"; "Written for the screen by Gore Vidal and Tennessee Williams"; produced by Sam Spiegel "...the producer") starring Elizabeth Taylor (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; "...the lured"), Katharine Hepburn (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; "...the lost"), Montgomery Clift ("...the loved"), Albert Dekker, Mercedes McCambridge, Gary Raymond, Mavis Villiers, and Julian Ugarte NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had only minimal wear on the folds and in the borders; there was a 2" tear in the top border 2" to the right of the top center and two 1" scratches in the black area above and below Clift's name; there is tiny paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds; the person who backed the poster pretty much just backed it "as is", without doing restoration; fortunately the poster was in excellent condition and did not really need any; when looking at the poster from the back one can see that there are areas in the lower right where the linen is "lifting" from the poster; I am pretty sure that any talented restorer could re-glue this area without re-backing the poster.
