PAULI Argentinean 1963 full-length sexy Jayne Mansfield over New York, rare! Date Sold 5/25/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 29" x 43" [74 x 109 cm]) (Learn More) Heimweh nach St. Pauli (released in the U.S. as "Homesick for St. Pauli"), the 1963 Werner Jacobs German romantic melodrama starring Freddy Quinn, Jayne Mansfield, Josef Albrecht, Ullrich Haupt, Erna Sellmer, and Beppo Brem. Note that Jayne Mansfield went to Germany to make this movie, and while her speaking voice was dubbed, she sang two songs! Note that this movie starred Freddy Quinn, who was actually Austrian and was born Franz Eugen Helmuth Manfred Nidl-Petz in 1931. He was an actor and a singer, and in 1956, he recorded his first hit, "Heimweh", which was a German version of Dean Martin's "Memories Are Made of This", which sold over 8 million copies and was #1 on the German charts for five months! This led to many popular records and him starring in many movies, including several where he played "Freddy", a rootless wanderer who goes to sea, but who perpetually wishes he had a home to return to, with family and friends. He had ten #1 hits between 1956 and 1966, after which he mostly retired, performing some on stage. He could speak 12 languages! He is still alive, and hopefully well!
