1.Mai 1983 (literally translates to "May 1st, 1983"), the 1983 East German poster featuring Klaus Lemke art of Karl Marx, and celebrating the FDGB. The Free German Trade Union Federation (Freier Deutsche Gewerkschaftsbund or FDGB) was an East German organization that existed between 1946 and 1990. It was part of the National Front and had representatives in the Volkskammer. The FDGB was the umbrella organization for about fifteen individual trade unions and was a member of the World Federation of Trade Unions.
