An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Caught Short, the 1930 Charles Reisner Stock Market Crash Great Depression comedy (about the 1929 Stock Market Crash) starring Marie Dressler, Polly Moran, Anita Page, Charles Morton, and Thomas Conlin. Note that this was one of a dozen movies where Dressler and Moran co-starred. They were one of the most unlikely "teams" in Hollywood history (both older women who were not especially attractive), but the public loved their movies! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that those who work on Wall Street know full well how awful it is to be "caught short" (when you bet against the stock, and it rises dramatically). Not only does this movie have a great title, but it also has great border art of a ticker tape machine! Condition: good. The card has pinholes, small tears, creases, and stains around the edges, with tiny paper loss in the bottom right corner. It has some faint smudges scattered in the image. Someone put some small tape repairs on the back of the card. Also, someone was apparently renovating their movie theater, and they wrote a list of around 30 items that they needed to renovate the theater, including prices for everything, on the back of the card in pencil. The most expensive item by far was the 600 new seats, which cost $2,370, and the entire restoration of the theater was $5,742.62, which could be paid by the week at $54.14 per week. We wonder if that renovation ever happened! Learn More about condition grades
