An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) The Glass Key, the 1935 Frank Tuttle crime mystery thriller ("His ears hear more 'inside' facts than a city editor! ...His lips hold more secrets than a Grand Jury Indictment!"; "By the author of 'The Thin Man' Dashiell Hammett"; this version of the movie has been mostly forgotten because it was overshadowed by the second version featuring Veronica Lake and Alan Ladd) starring George Raft, Edward Arnold, Claire Dodd, Ray Milland, Rosalind Keith (billed as "Rosalind Culli"), Charles Richman, Robert Gleckler, Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams, and Ann Sheridan (in a bit part as a nurse!). Note that Rosalind Keith made her first movie a year before this, and had a minor role. In that movie and this one, she was billed under her real name of Rosalind Culli. She later changed it to Rosalind Keith and became a Columbia actress, and after making 20 movies, she retired in 1939, for reasons we don't know! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1935 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned three lobby cards, two window cards, and a few stills from this movie until we received this half-sheet! Also note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good. The poster had a razor cut running from the upper right border above the top right of the key down through the left edge of the last "S" and of the "Y", all the way down to the bottom black area. It appears that someone was cutting something with a razor on top of this poster, and it is a very fine cut with no paper loss, and someone put tape on the back of that area. The poster has stains and smudges around the edges, with a few pinholes and creases. There are faint water stains in the top of the key area, and a few smudges and scuffs scattered in the image. In spite of these defects, the poster can be displayed as it is, or one might choose to have restoration performed. Either way, the new owner will have an extremely rare poster to display on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
