An Original Vintage Art Portfolio (contains 6 pages and 24 prints that each measure 11" x 16" [28 x 41 cm]) (Learn More) John Ford's Cowboy Kings of Western Fame, the 1973 John Ford & Will Williams illustrated book. The book contains twenty-four 11" x 16" full-color high-quality plates of Williams' artwork, each of a major cowboy star. Note that there were two versions of this. One has a really elaborate slipcase-like folder, with an image of John Ford on the cover ("A Commemorative Edition of the Great Director's Final Project"; "Limited Printing of 500 Copies"), and the other has a hardcover binding with the Tom Mix image tipped-in to the cover. We don't know if one version of the book predates the other, but the one with the Tom Mix cover has "First hard-cover edition 1974" printed on it. In conjunction with the book release, a set of postcards featuring the same artwork of cowboy stars was also released! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Will Williams Condition: good to very good. The first six interior pages have some staining and tiny paper loss around the edges, but it does not affect the printing. There is slight staining on the tipped-in image on the cover. The prints inside are in excellent condition, as is the hardcover binding. Learn More about condition grades
