A moi le Jour, a toi la Nuit (literally translates to "To Me By Day, To You by Night"), the 1932 Ludwig Berger & Claude Heymann German romantic comedy (about a man and woman who share the same room, but each gets it for 12 hours a day, and they never see the other, but they hate each other because of their circumstances, and then of course, they meet away from the room, and not knowing each other, they fall in love) starring Kathy von Nagy, Fernand Gravey, Jeanne Cheirel, Adrien Le Gallo, Marguerite Temply, and Ginette d'Yd. This was a French version of "Ich bei Tag und du bei Nacht" (I by Day, You by Night), made by UFA in 1932 (there was also an English version made in 1933 called "Early to Bed"). Universal did the same thing with "Dracula" in 1931. They filmed the movie twice, once in English, and once in Spanish, with two entirely different casts, U.S. actors for the English version and mostly Latin actors for the Spanish version, obviously for release in Spanish speaking countries, and the same was done with this movie (the English language version starred Heather Angel and Fernand Gravey, and the German version starred Kathe von Nagy and Willy Fritsch). So some of the cast members were in more than one of the three versions (no doubt based on how many languages they spoke!), and Ludwig Berger directed all three, although he had a co-director on this one. Please note that Uruguayan heralds, like Spanish heralds, were printed in large quantities, and then sent to individual theaters in Uruguay, and they would have the backs of them overprinted or stamped with their theater name and specific play dates. But because a movie might play in Uruguay for a period of a year or two (traveling from theater to theater), there is no guarantee that the date overprinted on the back of the herald is the same as the date that the herald was first printed (and the date that the movie first played in Uruguay). We strongly suspect that most movies did not reach Uruguay until a year or two after their first release in other countries, but we can't say for certain.

Therefore, we don't list the date overprinted on the back of a herald as the date of the herald (or the date of the movie's first release in Uruguay) unless we know from some other source that the later year was when the movie first played in Uruguay. If it is important to you that the date on the herald is the same date as when the movie first played in its country of origin, then please look at our image of the back of this herald to see if there is a different date printed on it.
