An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More)

Fools For Luck, the 1928 Charles Reisner silent slapstick comedy (Fields is a poor man trying to convince rich Conklin into investing in an oil field; he does, and the field turns out to be worthless, which causes much anger, but at the end of the movie, they find oil on the supposedly worthless land) starring W.C. Fields, Chester Conklin, Sally Blane, Jack Luden, and Mary Alden. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: good to very good. The card had nail holes across the top and five in the bottom of the title area. It had a 6" tear in the left border extending into the top of the "F" and "l", with two smaller tears near the middle of the left border. It had faint staining in the upper left of the image, mostly in the background areas, but slightly extending into the image and into the first letters of Fields' credit. Someone performed restoration to the above defects without backing the card, but they left alone the nail holes at the top of the card, rightfully assuming they will not show when the poster is framed. The poster displays well, but you can see slight signs of the restoration and the above defects.
