The Border Cavalier, the 1927 William Wyler silent cowboy western ("A Universal thrill feature"; based on the story by Basil Dickey) starring Fred Humes, Evelyn Pierce, C.E. Anderson, William Barrymore, and Joyce Compton. Note that William Wyler (arguably one of the very finest directors who ever lived) started his career directing a whole lot of westerns!
