An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Spectacle Maker, the 1934 John Villiers Farrow fantasy melodrama short subject ("A Colortone Musical"; "Photographed by Technicolor"; a strange story of a 17th century German maker of eyeglasses, who is asked to make special lenses that only show beauty, and after he does so, is asked to make another set of lenses that only show the truth, and this short is a parable about what defines both beauty and truth!) starring Nora Cecil, Harvey Clark, Cora Sue Collins, Nigel De Brulier, and Sumner Getchell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation on parts of some foldlines. There were pinholes around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
