An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Strange Case of Doctor Rx, the 1942 William Nigh Universal horror crime mystery ("Follow him -- at the Risk of Insanity!"; "Find him -- and you'll never return!") starring Patric Knowles, Lionel Atwill, Anne Gwynne, Mona Barrie, Paul Cavanagh, Samuel S. Hinds, Shemp Howard, Mantan Moreland, and Ray Corrigan (as the uncredited ape "Nbongo"!). Note that Crash Corrigan made a REALLY wise investment in the 1930s, when he bought a "gorilla suit". In many of the movies in the 1940s where there is a fake gorilla, it is played by Crash Corrigan, no doubt because he could supply the suit! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card (which we have only previously auctioned once before, and that was in a complete set 22 years ago) has been personally autographed (signed) by Patric Knowles! Our consignor obtained this autograph in person when he met Mr. Knowles in person. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic. Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
