An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Presskit (measures approximately 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; contains 12 stills) (Learn More) F/X (also released in other English-speaking countries as "FX - Murder by Illusion"), the 1986 Robert Mandel special effects crime action thriller ("Rollie Tyler is the movies' best special effects man. Now somebody wants him to do it for real. But is he the weapon or the victim? Is it murder or is it... F/X"; "Murder by illusion"; "Written by Robert T. Megginson & Gregory Fleeman"; about a special effects expert who fakes a mob-killing for a witness protection plan, and then gets caught up with the actual mob) starring Bryan Brown, Brian Dennehy, Diane Venora, Cliff DeYoung, Jerry Orbach, and Angela Bassett (in her first credited movie role!). Note that this movie did not do very well on its first release in theaters, but it proved extremely popular on video and on cable, and a sequel, F/X2, was made five years later! Important Added Info: Note that we have taken a picture of the cover of the presskit and eight of the stills (less than eight if the presskit has less than eight stills, of course). We have noted if the presskit contains any supplements, but we do not picture them. All of the presskits are sealed and ready to be sent, and we cannot answer any questions about the contents, especially about what any stills we may have not pictured show. REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE TOP OF THIS AUCTION TO SEE HOW MANY STILLS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS PRESSKIT, BECAUSE WE NEVER PICTURE MORE THAN EIGHT OF THEM (and we pretty much picked eight stills at random). Condition: very good. Many of the presskits we are auctioning this week were carefully stored away for many years, and the stills are in really excellent condition.
