An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

Fools For Luck, the 1928 Charles Reisner silent slapstick comedy (Fields is a poor man trying to convince rich Conklin into investing in an oil field; he does, and the field turns out to be worthless, which causes much anger, but at the end of the movie, they find oil on the supposedly worthless land) starring W.C. Fields, Chester Conklin, Sally Blane, Jack Luden, and Mary Alden. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: good. The card has darkened and there are some water stains around the edges of the card, and some scattered within the image, including some in the center of the title and in Fields' nose. There are some nail holes in the top play dates area and in the bottom of the card. Other than the water stains, the window card is in pretty good condition, and it has had no restoration of any kind. A talented restorer can remove some or almost all of the water stains through chemical means, and then use paint restoration to touch up whatever remains of the staining. After proper paperbacking by a professional, the card will look great, and will likely not have very much paint restoration within the image.
