An Original Vintage Hand Painted Poster (measures 11 1/2" x 14" [29 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Gerard Damiano's Deep Throat, the classic 1972 Gerard Damiano sexploitation movie ("How far does a girl have to go to untangle her tingle?") starring Linda Lovelace, Harry Reems, Dolly Sharp, Bill Harrison, William Love, and Carol Connors. Of course, this was the first x-rated hardcore movie that "crossed over" and was seen by general audiences, and it opened the floodgates for many, many more such movies, and it definitely has a significant place in movie history. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a hand painted poster that was created on heavy art board. It is from when this movie played at the Rialto Theatre in New York City. The Rialto Theatre was one of the many New York "adult" theaters, and the person who painted the sign played fast and loose with the truth, because the movie actually had its world premiere at the World Theater on June 12, 1972. This poster could be from soon after that, but the movie was showing for quite a while in its first release, so it is also possible it is from 1973 or 1974, but we would think it more likely that it is from very early in its release, given that they added the "WORLD PREMIER"! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this poster is painted on a heavy board stock. It could not possibly be rolled, and it must be sent in a large flat package that measures approximately 14" x 16", so bear this added expense in mind before bidding. Condition: very good.
