An Original Vintage Calendar Sample (measures 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" [21 x 26 cm]; 13 pages) (Learn More) Playboy, the men's adult entertainment magazine founded in 1953 by Hugh Hefner & associates featuring many wonderful articles and short stories by notable authors and large pin-up images of beautiful sexy women, obviously! Playboy has since expanded into television, video, and merchandising. In recent years, it experimented with dropping all nudity from its pages, but it recently announced that they would resume doing so. Hugh Hefner passed away in 2017 at the age of 91. Important Added Info: Note that this is not a regular Playboy Playmate calendar. It was a sample version that was sent to places who might stock it, and it includes a cover sheet with the famous Playboy logo and information about the calendar bound into the spiral binding (and there is a note that it does not come with calendars ordered through this sample). We have never auctioned one of these sample calendars before. Also note that on the back of the sample is a list of prices, and apparently 100 of them cost 70 cents each and a thousand were 53 cents, and two thousand were 52 cents, with prices listed for 200, 300, 500 and 750 as well! Note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. Note: We have 13 images of this calendar, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 13 images are displayed above.
