An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Singer Jim McKee, the 1924 Clifford Smith silent cowboy western (like most of Hart's movies, this one had a detailed complicated plot that covered many years; a man and his best friend rob a stagecoach to support the best friend's infant daughter, and then the friend is killed, so the man must take care of the daughter, but 15 years later, when she wants pretty clothes, he decides to do one more robbery to provide those for her, but he is caught and sent to jail, and years later, he is released, and he finds her, and they fall in love) starring William S. Hart (in the title role as 'Singer' Jim McKee), Phyllis Haver, J. Gordon Russell, Bert Sprotte, and Ruth Miller NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the vast majority of collectors would assume that this is a title card, but it is not! In the mid to late 1920s, Paramount made many sets of lobby cards where the seven scene cards all LOOK like title cards, but the actual title card is different from the seven scene cards (not too long after this, Paramount abandoned title cards altogether for the most part for the next forty-odd years, instead using a posed portrait of the stars in place of a title card). This scene card is from one of those sets where the scene cards are commonly mistaken for title cards. Please do not bid on it thinking it is a title card, as it is a scene card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card had some stains, tiny bits of paper loss, and bits of surface paper loss in the top 2" of the card and in the right corners, with paper loss in the top left blank corner and paper loss in the right corners extending into the image background in both areas. Someone performed restoration to these areas without backing the card, and it displays pretty well, but please look closely at our super-sized images of the front and back of the card before bidding.
