An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Happy Go Lucky, the 1943 Curtis Bernhardt Trinidad tropical island romantic musical comedy (about a gold-digger who goes to Trinidad to pose as a debutante and find a rich husband, and a rich guy exposes her, but tries to set her up with his arch rival; there is a wacky subplot involving a voodoo love potion!) starring Mary Martin, Dick Powell, Betty Hutton, Eddie Bracken, and Rudy Vallee. Note that Paramount was really pushing Mary Martin at this time, and she was given top billing over her much better established male co-stars (Powell, Bracken, and Vallee), and she is the only one pictured on the one-sheet poster. Of course, she would soon become disenchanted with Hollywood and spend most of her time on Broadway! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. The poster had creases, small horizontal tears, and some tiny areas of paper loss down the entire vertical foldline. There was minor wear on the horizontal folds and creases, tears, and some small areas of paper loss in the right border and a lesser amount in the other borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see some signs of the restoration of the above defects.
