An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Music Publicity Still (Learn More) Herb Alpert is a jazz band leader from the 1960s to the 2000s. He is best remembered for performing with his group Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass, and they had many hits, including "A Taste of Honey", "Zorba the Greek", and "Spanish Flea" (you THINK you never heard of it, but it is the song they played on "The Dating Game"!). Their biggest hit was "This Guy's In Love With You". They performed the soundtrack for several movies in the 1960s, and he co-founded A&M Records with Jerry Moss (the A&M stood for "Alpert & Moss"). As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 85! Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Herb Alpert! Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Note that our consignor has been an autograph collector for many decades! He started when he was a teenager, going to stage shows and other places where he could find celebrities, and he would bring photos for them to sign, and over the years, he has continued this in many different locations, and he has an immense collection of signed items (he has also traded some of his for others, but only when he feels he is getting genuine ones!), and he has consigned a small portion of his collection to this set of auctions!
