An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

It Pays To Advertise, the 1931 Frank Tuttle advertising merchandising marketing sales romantic comedy ("Salome Knew it -- Napoleon Knew it -- Cleopatra Knew it -- Samson Knew it -- Helen of Troy Knew it -- Delilah Knew it -- It Pays To Advertise"; a wacky story of a son of a business tycoon who made a fortune selling soap, and when his son wants to marry his dad's secretary, the dad disinherits him, but then the dad hires his secretary to help his son start his own soap business, and after many misadventures, the son becomes very successful, and he is mad when he finds out his girlfriend was being paid by his dad, but when he finds out she used all the money to help rescue his business, he forgives her) starring Norman Foster, Carole Lombard, Richard 'Skeets' Gallagher, Eugene Pallette, and Louise Brooks. Note that Carole Lombard had been making movies for over six years at this point, but was still not a major star (that would not happen for a couple more years), and major 1920s star Louise Brooks was in her last year of Hollywood movies (other than her ill fated attempt to return five years later).

Condition: good to very good. The card has darkened somewhat, typical of some Paramount lobby cards of this period. The card has tiny paper loss in the bottom left blank corner and some faint stains in the left blank border. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
