A French Art Print (measures 11 3/4" x 22 3/4" [30 x 58 cm]) (Learn More) Marechal Lyautey, the circa 1930s French art print featuring artwork of the SS Marechal Lyautney, a French passenger steamship for the Compagnie de Navigation Paquet shipping company. She was commissioned 1924 and scuttled by the Germans in 1944 at the Bassin de la Pinede near Marseille, France. She was later raised and sold for scrap. Condition: good. The poster has slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture. It has never been folded and otherwise only has some edge wear. This is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that many or most of the stains can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
