An Original Vintage Theatrical Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Irving Berlin's White Christmas, the classic 1954 Michael Curtiz post-World War II sisters holiday singing-and-dancing romantic musical (with classic "Lyrics and music by Irving Berlin"; "The most fabulous music-and-mirth show in motion picture history!"; "Joyous entertainment for every season, any year!!!!") starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen, and Dean Jagger. Note that this was the first motion picture to be filmed in VistaVision! Also note that the title song "White Christmas" was first introduced in 1942 in the Fred Astaire/Bing Crosby movie "Holiday Inn", and it proved to be so popular that this movie was made, utilizing part of the plot of that earlier film, and reusing this song, which was now over a decade old, but it proved to be an even greater hit! Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been professionally mounted to an acid-free paper backing, but it is not "paperbacked" in the modern sense, because there is no Japanese rice paper between the poster and the backing. This was done to keep the poster safe and make it really flat for framing, but the poster can still be rolled and sent in a tube, and the backing is easily reversible by any restorer, if the new owner chooses (and of course, the poster can be immediately framed!). Condition: good. Prior to being backed on the paper, the poster had some stains, tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges. It had a diagonal crease and scuffs in the lower center of the poster, with a jagged 5" tear at the right end of it. There are some smudges and scuffs scattered through the poster.
