Condition: very good. The poster was folded across the center and there was minor wear across that foldline. There was a 2" tear near the middle of the left border, extending into the artwork and a 2" tear with paper loss near the middle of the top border. There were pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster). At some point after the poster was linenbacked, it was roughly handled, and there are now creases in the right excess linen and in the bottom of the left excess linen, but they do not extend into edges of the poster itself.
