An Undated (probably 1938) Re-Release (re-titled "Meet The Mayor" for this re-release) Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) A Fool's Advice, the 1932 Ralph Ceder romantic love triangle political comedy (about an elevator operator who gets involved in a political campaign to try to win the heart of a girl) starring Frank Fay, Ruth Hall, Nat Pendleton, George Meeker, Berton Churchill, and Eddie Nugent. Note that star Frank Fay's life strongly paralleled that of the lead character in the first version of "A Star is Born" (and that character may have been modeled on his life). He was a top vaudeville star in the 1920s, and he discovered Barbara Stanwyck as an extra, and he married her and appeared with her in a 1931 movie, which helped her quickly achieve stardom, but his alcoholism ruined his career, and their marriage. Important Added Info: UPDATED 04/17/2015: Note that a knowledgeable collector pointed out that this poster is from a 1938 re-release and not a 1940s re-release as we initially listed. Condition: good to very good. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded.
