Auction History Result #086 BULL OF THE WEST rare 1sh '72 Date Sold 9/24/2002Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Foreign One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) The Bull of the West, the 1972 Paul Stanley & Jerry Hopper cowboy western (a knowledgeable collector tells us that this was a badly edited combination of two episodes of TV's "The Virginian" which originally aired in 1963 and 1965; obviously this was created to cash in on Bronson's success in "Death Wish") starring Lee J. Cobb, Charles Bronson, George Kennedy, Lois Nettleton, Brian Keith, and James Drury NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Enzo Nistri Important Added Info: Note that this poster was stamped "FOREIGN" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOMESTIC" for use within the United States). Often, the "FOREIGN" posters would have a different (sometimes racier) image than that for the one used in the United States. Condition: very good. There are minor creases throughout the poster including four vertical creases down the poster (two next to the vertical foldline and one at each edge of the image background).. Note that this one-sheet came directly from an individual who worked at Universal Pictures in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. He received many samples of posters which he carefully saved. Not only are they in wonderful condition (practically brand new unless otherwise noted), but his collection includes some posters that are extremely rare, and in fact, he may have some posters which were only made as samples and never were generally distributed!
