An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Janie, the 1944 Michael Curtiz World War II (WWII) romantic military comedy ("Warner Bros. National Joy Show!"; "Straight from 77 joyous weeks on Broadway!"; "She's the gleam in the eye of every 'G.I.'"; "She's the 'G.I.' love you gal in the gee you'll love it show!"; "From the Play Produced by Brock Pemberton") starring Joyce Reynolds (in the title role as Janie), Robert Hutton, Edward Arnold, Ann Harding, Robert Benchley, Alan Hale Sr., and Hattie McDaniel NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Also note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the still was printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that it WAS printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us! So it is an original still from 1944, but it was printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good.
