Searle Dawley & Edwin S. Porter silent bad girl female convicts crime melodrama ("A fascinating drama of the under-world that approaches tragedy and ends in romance"; "An interesting combination of the thrilling incidents of the book and the dramatic episodes of the play"; Mary Pickford is put in a home for "bad girls"; she "escapes" and gets involved with crooks, but a "good man" helps her leave the life of crime) starring Mary Pickford, David Wall, House Peters, Grace Henderson, and George Moss (in the title role). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Note that, in the early days of movie making, when lobby cards were first made (around 1915), studios would issue sets of the cards in two sizes; the regular 11" x 14" size, and a smaller 8" x 10" size. The cards were identical in every way except for the different size. This practice continued through the early 1920s, at which point the studios abandoned the smaller lobby cards, likely because theaters either ordered 11" x 14" lobby cards or 8" x 10" stills, and did not order enough of the 8" x 10" lobby cards to justify them continuing to make them.
