Songs to sing and swing!"; "Songs by Cole Porter") starring Fred Astaire, Rita Hayworth, Robert Benchley, John Hubbard, Osa Massen, Fieda Inescort, Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams, Donald MacBride, Lucius Brooks, Leon Buck, Joe Comfort, Chico Hamilton, Rudolph Hunter, Red Mack, and John Porter. Note that this movie was released just two months after Pearl Harbor, and it was one of the first Hollywood non-war movies to have a World War II setting. Important Added Info: Note that we previously auctioned two different styles of U.S. heralds from this movie, but we have never before auctioned an example of THIS style of herald! This is one of an excellent collection of 27 rare heralds from the late 1930s and early 1940s which was recently discovered. Many of them are ones we have either never auctioned before or only auctioned once or twice. The heralds were all printed in the U.S., but were mostly used in theaters in Egypt, so most have overprinting on the back for an Egyptian movie theater. Also, almost all of the heralds have either tiny circular holes scattered in the image (sometimes very few, sometimes more), and some of them have larger paper loss somewhere in the image. We strongly suggest you look closely at our images of the fronts and backs of these rare heralds before bidding on them, so you can see the location of the tiny circular holes or larger paper loss. Condition: good. There are nine tiny circular holes scattered in the herald.
