If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that John Wayne had his big break in "The Big Trail" in 1930, and that movie did poorly, and he mostly only made B-westerns all the way until he finally became a star in 1939 with "Stagecoach". So the poster artist for this one-sheet was likely either not familiar with how Wayne looked, or did not think it mattered, and while he drew a great western image, the cowboy on it does not resemble John Wayne! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds, it had many small tears and some tiny areas of paper loss scattered in the vertical foldline and on some parts of the horizontal folds. Most of the top and right blank borders had been trimmed off and there were some pinholes, tears, and areas of paper loss in the other two borders, slightly extending into the image in a few places. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
