An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French Movie Poster (measures approximately 23" x 32"; known as an 'affiche' poster in France) (Learn More) Les Maitre-Nageurs (literally translates to "Lifeguards"), the 1951 Henri Lepage French romantic teenage beach swimming melodrama starring Mireille Perrey, Armand Bernard, and Jean Tissier, Jules Berrt, Charles Deschamps, and Joelle Bernard. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Lacowes Boyyea Important Added Info: Note that this poster contains artwork of a partially unclothed woman, so we have placed a white bar over that area, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual poster does not have that white bar! Also note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this French movie! Also note that this French poster measures approximately 23" x 32". Condition: fair to good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and creases and smudges along some foldlines. There were three small areas of paper loss in the shoulder strap of the shirt worn by the man at center and there were faint water stains throughout the image. There was some paper loss in the right of the middle foldline in the arm of the man. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking (due to the light water stains throughout). Surprisingly, the water stains are light enough that they are barely noticeable, but if I owned this poster, I would likely have it re-backed and have the water stains removed (by chemical means if possible).
