Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) William Friedkin's Cruising, the 1980 William Friedkin gay homosexual serial killer crime thriller ("Al Pacino is Cruising for a killer."; "Based upon the novel by Gerald Walker"; about an undercover cop who has to pretend to be gay to catch a serial killer; at the time, the movie was quite controversial, both for its stereotypical depiction of gays as potential serial killers, and for straight actor Al Pacino perpetuating gay stereotypes in his performance) starring Al Pacino, Paul Sorvino, Karen Allen (in her fourth movie role!), Richard Cox, and Don Scardino NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this movie caused a giant uproar when it was first released. Some people found the movie intensely homophobic, and others were sickened by its detailed depiction of a segment of gay life. Theaters were sent a 8"x10" placard printed on heavy board that they were advised to put in their box office window! The placard reads "CRUISING"; "Doe to the intense and sensitive subject matter, discretion is urged for younger audiences." along with the R rating information. THIS ITEM INCLUDES THIS ORIGINAL PLACARD, which I am sure is extremely rare! Condition: very good. The poster was folded in half an extra time. There are minor creases throughout the poster.
