An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) the 1940s - 1950s stock poster created for use by theaters showing re-releases of the East Side Kids movies starring Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, and Bobby Jordan. Theaters would order these posters which had a large blank area. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned one example of this poster before! Condition: good.
