An Original Vintage Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More)

For the Love of Pete, the 1936 Lloyd French boxing sports comedy short (based on the classic Joe Palooka comic strip "Originated by Ham Fisher") starring Robert Norton ("Palooka"), Shemp Howard ("Knobby"), Lucy Parker ("Mother"), John Berkes (billed as "Johnnie Berkes"), Richard Lane, Michael Dennis, Charlie Althoff, Buddy Buehler, and "Rex". Note there had been a movie based on this comic strip in 1934 that starred Stu Erwin as Joe Palooka. This was the first in a series of shorts that came out starting in 1936 and continuing into 1937, all with Robert Norton as the cartoon boxer.
