An Unfolded Original Vintage Dutch Special Poster (measures 25 3/4" x 42" [65 x 107 cm]) (Learn More) XXIV Internationaal Eucharistisch Congress (literally translates to "XXIV International Eucharistic Congress"), the 1924 Catholic Church gathering of clergy, religious, and laity to bear witness to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, which is an important Roman Catholic doctrine. Congresses bring together people from a wide area, and typically involve large open-air Masses, Eucharistic adoration (Blessed Sacrament), and other devotional ceremonies held over several days. The 1924 Congress was held in Amsterdam from July 22nd to the 27th. Note that this poster features Jan Toorop artwork of the Virgin Mary, the Crucifix, a chalice, angels and more! Artist: Jan Toorop Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Dutch poster! Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had some smudges and scuffs in the solid blue areas. Someone long ago backed it onto a thicker paper backing, but one that can be rolled. It was roughly handled after it was backed, and it acquired a slightly diagonal crease starting in the upper center of the cup and extending to the right border.
