An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 7 3/4" x 19" [20 x 48 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Street of Chance, the 1930 John Cromwell gambling poker playing crime murder melodrama ("The picture that solved the Rothstein Murder Case"; a cool story, very loosely based on the murder of professional gambler Arnold Rothstein after he refused to pay his poker losses; of a would-be professional gambler who wants to follow in his brother's footsteps, because his brother is a famous gambler, but the younger brother gets in trouble, and the older brother literally risks his life in one giant card game to try to keep his brother from making the same mistakes he did) starring William Powell, Jean Arthur, Kay Francis, Regis Toomey, and Stanley Fields NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a key book still, mounted to a linen backing. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Someone trimmed away the extra 1" from the left of the still. Condition: very good. The left 1" was neatly trimmed off (see above). Otherwise, the still is in nice condition!
