Important Added Info: In recent years, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" has become THE title of the 1960s, and the most sought after poster from this title is the one-sheet, with its iconic image of Audrey Hepburn from the movie. But we are offering here the look-alike 30x40! We have never sold this poster before, and it is a jillion times more rare than the one-sheet, which appears over and over in major auctions. It is almost the exact same size as the one-sheet, but it is printed on far better quality paper. The particular example of this poster we are offering here has never been folded, so there are none of the distracting foldlines that are found on every one-sheet, and it is in incredible unrestored condition, to boot! This is really an absolute gem of a poster, and will surely be the pride of any collector's collection! Condition: fine. The poster was never folded. There are some creases in the right and center of the bottom border and a tiny partial tear near the middle of the bottom blank border. There are a couple of creases in the "ARD" of "PEPPARD" in the credits, but they are really not visible from the front. There are a few minor creases in the top blank border. There is a tiny smudge in the left of the top green border. There is some faint red across the top blank border (more so on the right side) that is a typical extremely minor printing defect of posters of this period (it is likely every example of this poster would have that same red, and it is solely in the blank border area). The above is ALL I can find to say in terms of defects! There are none of the typical "crinkle" marks found on most 30x40s (caused by rolling and unrolling). The poster has had not the slightest bit of restoration of any kind, and there is no writing anywhere on the back. The poster has a really great "crisp" feel to it, as though it was virtually never handled. There may be another example of this poster (although I have not seen it), but there is virtually no chance that it would be in remotely similar wonderful condition, or that it would be completely unrestored! This week we have given a more detailed overall condition grade along with more details about the condition described in words. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, plus there are some defects (like creasing, tape on the back, extremely tiny pinholes, etc) which can be VERY difficult to see, even in our largest "super-sized" image. Therefore we strongly recommend that you BOTH read our written description of the item, AND ALSO look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
