Original Vintage Theatrical Style A Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) Under Western Stars, the 1938 Joseph Kane singing cowboy western musical ("Original story by Dorrell and Stuart McGowan") starring Roy Rogers, Smiley Burnette, Carol Hughes, Maple City Four, Guy Usher, and Trigger. Note that this is the first movie where Roy Rogers had the starring role and was billed as "Roy Rogers". Previously he had bit parts in about twelve movies as Dick Weston or part of the Sons of the Pioneers. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: very good to fine. This poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. It appears to have had the following defects: there were tiny holes at each crossfold and minor creases along the foldlines. There are some faint smudges in the yellow background areas. There were pinholes in the corners. The defects were well corrected during the linenbacking process and the poster now looks great!
