Original Vintage Lobby Card (Measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) My American Wife, the 1922 Sam Wood silent Argentina romantic love triangle comedy (about a southern belle from Kentucky who moves to Argentina and has a complicated romance with an Argentinean aristocrat) starring Gloria Swanson, Antonio Moreno, Josef Swickard, Eric Mayne, and Gino Corrado. Note that "Latin Lovers" were very popular in movies after Rudolph Valentino's instant rise to super stardom in 1920, and this movie cast Antonio Moreno as one of those! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a hand-colored card. In the days of silent film prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have lobby cards printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the cards one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each card is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match. Condition: fine. There is a crease in the bottom left of the card.
