An Unfolded Commercial Poster (made to be sold directly to the public; measures 20" x 28 1/2" [51 x 72 cm]) (Learn More)

Graphic Masters EC Cover Posters, the 1971 set of two commercial posters created by Ron Barlow, who had been in charge of the "Big E.C. Book" for Woody Gelman. He became friends with Bill Gaines, past publisher of E.C. Comics and current publisher of Mad Magazine, and Bill showed him the original artwork for the two E.C. covers that had to be censored before they could be printed, because they were too graphic. These were Tales from the Crypt #38 and The Vault of Horror #32. Ron convinced Bill to let him create full color 20" x 28 1/2" posters of the uncensored versions of these two covers, and they were published in 1971 by Ron's Graphic Masters company! They were sold through fanzines and at comic shows, and they are difficult to find, especially in nice condition!
Artist: Johnny Craig

Condition: fair to good. The poster has several creases scattered throughout and some discoloration along the left edge which has caused some paper loss at lower left (see our image).
