a lot of 21 Classics Illustrated comic books. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1950s. The consignor tells us these would grade between 0.5 and 3.5, and they are in "very rough" condition. The majority of these have 15 cent cover. This lot contains Classics Illustrated comic books. The very first issue of this series was published in 1941 and they were in continuous publication through 1971 meaning there are multiple printings of each issue. There were 169 total issues printed. To determine what printing a comic is from, you refer to the "HRN" or "Highest Reorder Number". The HRN is the newest issue shown on the order sheet which usually appears on the back cover or on an inside cover. Let's say you have issue #132 and the HRN shown is #131. That would make your issue the 1st release. If the HRN is #140, your issue would be the 8th printing, and so on. We have included a scan of a Post-It listing every issue's number followed by it's HRN number so you can review that to see what printing each issue is from.
